Scholarships
The history department has a number of scholarships and prizes for exceptional students. Interested students should contact the history advisor, the Director of Undergraduate Studies, or any history faculty member.
John Leason Scholarship Fund (Juniors/Seniors in Teaching Education Program, minimum 2.5 GPA)
William A. Pitkin Memorial Scholarship (Juniors/Seniors showing "need and potential for success")
Norman Caldwell/James R. Sanders Scholarship (For Senior with highest GPA and all History credits earned at SIUC)
History Alumni Award (For Students with special achievement and promise in history)
Edward O'Day Paper Prize (Best History Paper written by an SIUC Undergraduate in calendar year)
